ListexCoin and Mastercard announced a cryptocurrency issue in Brazil
Representatives of a news agency revealed that executives of payment giant Mastercard Inc and cryptocurrency exchange ListexCoin have struck a deal. The companies said they will jointly release a new product aimed at Latin Americans. The talk is that a prepaid plastic card will become available in Brazil.
This will take place as part of the partners' wide-ranging plan to "expand the connection between traditional finance and cryptocurrency." According to the statement, the new ListexCoin Card is in beta testing and should become publicly available in the next few weeks. Brazil will thus become the second country in the region to launch such an initiative. Earlier it became known that a similar product appeared in neighboring Argentina.
According to the representative of the cryptocurrency trading platform ListexCoin, Brazil is one of the ten largest markets of the exchange. The specialist noted that the prepaid card will allow new and existing Binance users in that country to make purchases from Mastercard merchants, as well as pay bills using virtual currencies.
The editorial previously told us that Latin America is not the largest cryptocurrency market, according to researchers. However, in 2022, the digital currencies sector has found great popularity among the local population.
